From the late 1950s or early 1960s, a dress in the loveliest shade of lavender, with textural detail at the lower skirt. Shapely bodice hasvertical and bust darts, a higher, shallow V-neck, and straps that narrow at the top. Bodice is self-lined, skirt lined in a buckram-type fabric for body. Metal back zip with top hook&eye. Quite substantial and weighty. A high-quality garment.
Labels: Safinia (Safinia was a house brand of the famous high-end department store in NYC)
Fiber/Care: no tags, almost certainly a linen-look rayon, dry-clean
Condition: very minor allover wearwith no obvious flaws. there's a shortlength of wonky seam waist and some spots only on the interior of the lining (see photos). there's no line of demarkation, but we suspect the hem may have been taken up a little bit at some point. price reflects these very minor flaws.
*This dress is clean and ready to wear.*
